“I was with MACV-CORDS and went to Vietnam after language training in October of 1967. My entire tour was in Pleiku Province and my initial assignment was working with Montagnard refugees. The remainder of my time was with a district advisory unit.
“We were was working with the villages, in some cases arming them, looking for VC infrastructure. On occasion we operated with American troops.”
