Missing in Action – 9 January 1968 in Hiep Duc Valley, Vietnam
His name can be found on the wall on Panel 34E, Row 12.

Johnny Williams was a US Army Private First Class with Light Weapons Infantry, 196th Light Infantry Brigade, 3rd Battalion, 21st Infantry, A Company. He was declared dead while missing starting on January 9, 1968 in South Vietnam, Quang Tin province, Hiep Duc Valley. He was a Durham High graduate, and his grandparents lived in Fuquay-Varina. He received the Purple Heart Medal for wounds inflicted during combat operations.
