Kenneth Pacheco was born on July 14, 1951 in Oakland, California. As the youngest of three brothers, he enlisted in the Navy after graduating High School, and, being only 17, his mom signed for him to enlist.
He spent time in Viet Nam from 1969 to 1971 and at the end of 1971 he married the woman that remained his wife for almost 47 years. He became a Respiratory Therapist.
It took some time to discover all the issues he endured from the Agent Orange exposure. In spite of mobility issues he managed to attend a reunion of the LST 1150 USS Sutter County in early 2016. He passed away June 14, 2021.
